There are many places of gift shop at the Nikko Train Station. The most stores are selling Nikko’s original food and small goods. You can enjoy shopping for your friends and family.
About 1.7 million people are visiting yearly including the foreign visitors.
Guide book and post card are selling in the Nikko Toshogu. The price comes from ￥300 (US$3.00, ￡2.00). It would be good to mail to your friend and family with the post card.
There are several places to buy the good-luck amulet. You will find the various designs of amulets. You can choose its for the right purpose of your goal. The price comes from ￥300(US$3.00, ￡2.00) to ￥1,500(US$15.00, ￡10.00).
There is only one entrance for the Nikko Toshogu. The admission fee is ￥1,300 (US$13.00, ￡8.80) for adult and ￥4.50(US$4.50, ￡3.0) for children.
The 20 minutes of horse cart ride is available outside of the shrines. It would be a fun to get on the cart and look around the shrines. The price is ￥1,000 (US$10.00, ￡6.80) for adult and ￥800 (US$8.00, ￡5.40) for children.
The commemorative stamps are selling outside of the shrine. It would be a good gift for your friends of stamp correctors. There are several designs and various prices of stamps.
There are many food places outside of the shrines. The food and smoking are prohibited in the shrines. The most of places are opening near the exits. You can choose western and Japanese food.
Taking a commemorative photo is available at Nikko Toshogu. There is a pro-camera shooter. You can buy film and battery for your camera.
The post office is located at the across the street from the Nikko train station. If you bought many gifts from Nikko for your home, you can dispatch from there.
There is a huge space of parking lot is available at the Nikko Toshogu. To park your car there, the fee is ￥500 (US$5.00, ￡3.40) per day.
There are many places of restaurant near the Nikko station. Here is a place of western restaurant. You can order pizza and hamburger here. It located at the across the street from the Nikko train station.
There are two rent car shops at the Nikko Station. The price for rent is about ￥6,000 (US$60.00, ￡40.00) for a day of the economy size. The gas station is located near the train station and you can fill up there when you return it.
The liquor store is located at the front of train station. He is selling the Nikko’s original Sake and beer. Sampling is available and if you like it, you can order from the internet.
You can take a taxi for sightseeing. The taxi station is located at the front of train station. But it costs close to a couple tens of thousands of yen to visit the several spots. I recommend you to take a bus for sightseeing.
There is an information center at the station and staffs can give you the guidance in English. You can get the map for sightseeing spot in English. The station has convenience store. The locker is available and if you have many baggages, you can leave at the station.
There is a restaurant at the top of Mountain. You can have lunch and a cup of coffee. The Restaurant opens 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. The major food is “NAGATORO UDON” of hand-kneaded noodle. 
You can take a ropeway for 5 minutes to go to the top of Mountain Hodo. The price of ropeway is ￥720(US$7.00,￡5.00) for adult and ￥360 (US$3.50, ￡2.50)for child. You can spend time of relaxation at 800 meter elevation of Mt. Hodo. The ropeway leaves every 30 minutes. 
Besides the boat riding, there is the kayaking in Nagatoro River. You can rent a kayak boat and rent fee is ￥5,000 (US$50, ￡34) for a half day. If you don’t know how to paddle, the coaching is available.
The fresh “AYU” of Japanese fish broiled with salt on skewers are very delicious. The fishes are most famous fishes in Nagatoro. I recommend you to try it for the lunch. 
There is a zoo on the top of Mt.Hodo. You can watch the small animals of goats, monkeys, rabbits, deer, Japanese raccoon, and mini pigs. You can buy the food for animals and feed them.The restroom at the zoo is very clean. They have a gift shop and are selling stuffed toy of animals and ice cream and some snacks. To eat food after watch the animal, they recommend you to wash hands for sanitarily. 
The information center is located at the Nagatoro Station. A lady will give you the guidance wherever you wished to visit. You can get the English Map from there. Office hours from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
This is a 2days free pass for the Retro tour bus. You can buy it directly from bus driver and free to get in and off around the Lake Kawaguchi for 2 days. The fare is 1300 yen ($US13.00,￡8.0).
The Retro tour Bus goes to two different routes. One goes around the Kawaguchiko and another one goes Saiko and Aokigahara. You will ask bus driver for your right courses.
There is a gift shop at the Kawaguchiko station and you can enjoy shopping for the goods of Kawaguchiko. The goods are various including the “Japanese Sake” and “Yamanashi Prefecture Wine” of alcoholic which made in Kawaguchiko area.
The tour bus leaves from the station. This bus is very convenient. But Bus comes 1 or 2 for an hour. You can see the schedule here. It called the “Fujikyu Retro Bus”. You have to remember that earliest one comes 8.00 am and last one is 4:00pm.
The Taxi is available to use at the station. The fare is 710 yen ($US7.00, ￡4.4) for first 2km and adding 90 yen(US$0.90,￡0.55) every 280m. 
Here is a menu at Café lounge in the station. The best seller of this lounge is the organic coffee. Sometimes you have to wait the train or the express bus for a long time, you will comfortable to sit there and enjoy meal and beverage. 
Locker and lounge are available at the cruising. If you have many baggages, you can leave in the boat office. The rest room is not clean and it located outside the boat office. The vender machine is available and you can bring some hot drink for the boat cruising. 
In the cleared day, you can see the Japanese Symbol of Mt.Fuji from the boat. It was a cloudy when I shot a photo. I could only see the top of mountain. 
You can get on the upper deck at anytime and will see the great view of lake. It is very windy and I recommend you to wear the jacket in the winter. There is a bell and you can ring it.
There are Sofa and table in the boat. You can buy some cold drink during the summer. There is no shaking and heated inside during the winter. 
The well-trained monkeys and trainers are listed at the wall. They have currently listed 12 monkeys. 2 monkeys are appearing at the each performance. It shows 50 minutes per hour. You can take photo as many as you want. But video shooting is not allowed during the performance. 
The gift shop and snack store are located outside of Monkey theatre. You can buy gift of original monkey goods and sit on the bench to have some snacks and ice cream. 
During the Monkey performance, the translation in English is available to see in the screen. The every word of trainers is translated. 
After observing and sampling the wine, the store will serve the free cold Jasmine tea and grape juice. You can sit and take a rest.
You can taste the sample and choose a right one from various kinds of wine. The taste is a little more sweetness than western wine.
The wine is stored in the barrel over ten years. The wine has the historical taste.
The Akafuji Wine Seller is the most representative wine store in Kawaguchiko area. More than 150 kind of wine are selling. The admission fee is free. It takes 15 minutes walk from Bus station of “YAKUBA IRIGUCHI MAE”. The wine price is between 2,000 yen and 12,600 yen ($US20.00-$US126.00, ￡12.6-￡80).
