You better decide wherever you want to go before get on the bus. However, there are many places to see. The tour bus at the Kawaguchiko Station

The tour bus leaves from the station. This bus is very convenient. But Bus comes 1 or 2 for an hour. You can see the schedule here. It called the “Fujikyu Retro Bus”. You have to remember that earliest one comes 8.00 am and last one is 4:00pm.

Upper Deck on the boat in the Kawaguchiko Cruising

You can get on the upper deck at anytime and will see the great view of lake. It is very windy and I recommend you to wear the jacket in the winter. There is a bell and you can ring it.

Boat cruising at the Kawaguchiko


There is a 20 minutes of fun in the boat cruising in the Kawaguchiko. Maximum 120 passengers can go on the board and you can see the great view of around the lake. The boat leaves every half hour. The price is 900 yen for adult($US9.00, £5.6) and 450 yen for child($US4.50, £2.80). Smoking is prohibited and no restroom in the boat.

The Monkey performance at Kawaguchiko

The well-trained monkeys and trainers are listed at the wall. They have currently listed 12 monkeys. 2 monkeys are appearing at the each performance. It shows 50 minutes per hour. You can take photo as many as you want. But video shooting is not allowed during the performance.

You can come to the station of Kawaguchiko by express bus from major city in Japan and JR from Tokyo. It takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes by bus and 3 hours by JR trains. There are 5 hotels near the station. They don’t have many restaurants near the stations.

This is a place for mouth to be rinsed and hand washed. The prayers are purifying the body and the mind before praying. First you will wash your hands and rinse your mouth with a ladle.

The water is clean and there isn’t any sanitarium problem. You better provide towels and handkerchiefs for wetting. Generally at the most of Shrines in Japan, you will see the places.

I have visited the Tsuruoka Hachimangu. It is a huge Shinto Shrine and extremely famous Shrine in Kanagawa prefecture.
The purpose for pray are marriage, celebration for children of 3, 5, and 7 years of age, passing the bar exam for university, business prosperity, and well-being of the family and so on.

The third one is the traditional Japanese style cuisine and located in the middle of hill, too. The symbol of the Restaurant is serving the “TONKOTSU KURO RAMAN” which is representing the black noodle. Price is 800 yen ($8) (£5). But the taste is not as well as at the regular Japanese Ramen. But you can try it!
